Policies & Procedures

At Beautiful Minds Learning, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities.

To ensure a positive and secure environment for everyone, we ask that you review and agree to the following policies in order to apply to our school.

These guidelines are essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of our educational environment.

Respect & Bullying

  • Students are expected to treat their peers, teachers, and all school property with respect.
  • Bullying, harassment, or any form of aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • All incidents of bullying will be addressed promptly, and appropriate actions will be taken.

Respect for Property

  • Students must respect all school property, including books, supplies, and equipment.
  • Damaging or defacing property is unacceptable and will be subject to disciplinary action.

Listening & Following Instructions

  • Students are required to listen to and follow the instructions given by teachers and staff.
  • Disruptive behavior that hinders the learning environment will be addressed immediately.

Electronics Policy

  • Phones or other electronic devises are not permitted during class hours unless required for medical reason.
  • Smartwatches need to be set to Do Not Disturb and may be asked to remain in backpacks if they become a distraction.

Disciplinary Procedures

Violation of Policies: A formal write-up will be issued for any policy violations. After three write-ups, a meeting with parents will be held to discuss the student's behavior.

Dismissal Policy: Repeated failure to comply with policies may result in dismissal from the program.

At Beautiful Minds Learning, we believe parents are the primary educators of their children. Our role is to support and guide your child’s education in a hybrid setting.

Parental Role in Instruction

Parents remain the primary educators of their children, with teachers providing support and guidance.

Curriculum and Class Participation

  • Teachers will instruct math and language arts using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum.
  • Parents are responsible for completing missed lessons at home if their child does not attend all four days.

Homework Policy

  • Homework is assigned only if lessons are not completed during class time.
  • 20 minutes of reading each day is encouraged across all grade levels

Absences and Family Vacations

Flexibility is supported for family vacations, but missed lessons should be completed at home.

Educational Goals

Our focus is on comprehension and mastery, not standardized tests.

To ensure proper staffing, planning, and classroom consistency, we require advance notice for all student withdrawals.

Withdrawal Notice Requirement

  • Families must submit written notice of withdrawal on or before the 15th of the month prior to the month they intend to withdraw.
  • If notice is received by the 15th, tuition will not be charged for the upcoming month.
  • If notice is received after the 15th, tuition for the following month is still owed and will not be refunded.

No Refunds After Tuition Due Date

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
  • Once tuition is due on the 1st, no refunds will be issued for that month, regardless of attendance or withdrawal date.

Prepaid Tuition

  • If a family has prepaid tuition in advance:
  • Refunds will be issued for unused months following proper withdrawal notice (submitted on or before the 15th).
  • No refund will be issued for the current month if tuition has already become due.

Example: If a family withdraws on September 14, September tuition is non-refundable. However, if October or later months were prepaid, those unused months may be refunded.

Scholarship Funds

  • For students receiving scholarship funding (including but not limited to Utah Fits All or other scholarship programs):
  • Refunds for unused months must be processed through the scholarship program directly.
  •  Beautiful Minds Learning LLC cannot directly refund scholarship funds to families.
  •  Any adjustments will follow the guidelines and requirements of the applicable scholarship program.

Out-of-Pocket Payments

  • Any out-of-pocket tuition paid in advance for unused months (following proper withdrawal notice) will be refunded.

Tuition Disclosure

  • Secures your student's spot in the Beautiful Minds Learning program.
  • Works out to approximately $25 per month over the 10-month school year.
  • Funds are used toward classroom and program supplies.
  • Once paid, the spot is officially held and the fee is non-refundable.
